Inventory Control: 2nd Shift

  • Purpose:

    This position provides SAP support to the production and warehouse department, including releasing Process Orders, coordinating the flow of materials to PSA locations, re-labeling raw materials, and reconciling inventory usage to the Process Orders.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Responsibility includes the management of activities for the safety, integrity, legality and quality of our food products.
    • Leads efforts to maintain accurate records in the SAP systems
    • Release Process Orders to create Transfer Request; work with warehouse team to coordinate delivery of raw materials to the production lines timely.
    • Manage and report to Analyst, frequent SAP discrepancies within PSA locations; work with warehouse, production, SAP Analyst and controller to coordinate data integrity. 
    • Support Production with process orders regarding errors, correct errors and prevent if possible.
    • Work as part of the Inventory Control team to reconcile PSA inventory, verify reporting of finished good pallets to Process Order on a daily and shift to shift basis.
    • Create tags and label raw materials returning from PSA locations back to the warehouse.
    • Assist in Month End Closing with the SAP Analyst and Plant Controller.
    • Must be open in Communicating with multiple work streams within the plant, including Planning & Scheduling, Production Execution, Warehouse, and Finance.
    • Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards in the Work Area. Equipment and work areas must be kept organized, clean and sanitary throughout the shift.  End of shift requires removal of any waste and garbage generated during the shift.  Ensure proper care of equipment.
    • Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training. Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person. Report any injury or accident immediately to supervisory and/or any unsafe condition.
    • Support, and comply with all quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, food safety, employee safety, preventative maintenance programs.
    • Support and comply with GMP’s.
    • Follow all company policies and procedures.
    • Must be able to work over-time, weekends and holidays as needed.

    • High school diploma or equivalent and ability to read, speak and write English so as to assimilate, retain, and apply training and knowledge of job functions and recognize and communicate problems and recommended solutions.
    • Experience using SAP is highly preferred.
    • Strong computer literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Ability to apply math concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to operations.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, manager, and customers.
    • Familiarity with general plant materials flow and inventory control procedures
    • Good problem solving skills and ability to research  and resolve discrepancies
    • Be able to work autonomously

    Skills/Work Experience:

    • 1-2 years related experience


    High school diploma or equivalent.
