Position Summary


We are currently seeking a Plant Manager to direct and manage all plant operations to meet all quality, food safety, and customer requirements in the most safe, cost-effective, and timely manner.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Coordinates production, distribution, warehousing, and sales in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by Industrial Organization Manager
  • Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in area
  • Develops efficiency plans for materials, machinery usage, and staffing needs
  • Appraises production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division
  • Reviews operations of competing organizations and plans and directs sales program to develop new markets
  • Directs preparation of accounting records and recommends budgets to management
  • Provides leadership and directions to six subordinate managers who supervise a total of ~100 employees across the Shipping/Receiving, Production, Maintenance, HR, Quality Control and Warehouse departments
  • Communicates Safety, Quality, and Food Safety policies, ensuring all such policies are applied by all employees
  • Support, and comply with all quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, food safety, employee safety, preventative maintenance programs and legality


Qualifications & Experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5-7 years of experience in Logistics and Supply Chain or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of experience managing a food/beverage manufacturing plant; familiarity with mechanical functions of all plant machines and equipment
  • Demonstrated ability in implementing process/continuous improvement programs and procedures, quality management systems and MRP/ERP (SAP) software
  • Strong knowledge of all governmental regulations concerning the operations, e.g. OSHA, FDA, HAACP, as well as good manufacturing practices for food processing facilities
  • Experience evaluating capital expenditures
  • Comfortable with presenting information and responding to questions from senior leadership, clients, customers, and employees
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Proven competency in employee development, performance management with the ability to build and maintain employee morale while understanding diverse viewpoints
