Summary: 

This position is responsible for day-to-day job task assignments and completion of necessary paperwork or computer data entry to insure the proper execution of all inventory control and cycle counting activity in the Finished Goods Warehouse as well as the correct and timely correction  of various and a sundry inventory issue that occur throughout the daily shipping and receiving activity.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. 

 

  • Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, give job assignments to Inventory team and warehouse workers such as cycle counts and inventory research and corrections.
  • Prepare daily cycle counts for warehouse  and review counting  data in SAP
  • Create and analyze department reports and KPI’s to insure proper action is taken with regard to inventory accuracy and inventory control processes.
  • Communicate discrepancies with inventory or materials received and problems contributing to inventory discrepancies with Warehouse Supervisor, Logistics Management, and Customer Service.
  • Assist warehouse workers with inventory issues as well as order picking and stock placement
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse.
  • Adhere to the Inventory Control Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs.)
  • Analyze and complete reports to include:  mixed rack reports, cycle counts and other related paperwork.  Timely completion and documentation of a paperwork required
  • Provide back-up support for all shipping and receiving functions.
  • Train Shipping and Receiving and Inventory Control employees.
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training. Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person. Report any injury or accident immediately to supervisory and/or any unsafe condition.
  • Maintain cleanliness on line and 5S standards.  Equipment and work areas must be kept organized, clean and sanitary throughout the shift.  End of shift requires removal of any waste and garbage generated during the shift.  Ensure proper care of equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training. Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person. Report any injury or accident immediately to supervisory and/or any unsafe condition.
  • Support, and comply with all quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, food safety, employee safety, preventative maintenance programs.
  • Support and comply with GMP’s.
  • Participate in TPM initiatives.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Indirectly supervises employees in the warehouse inventory control department. Assists with direction and coordination, and evaluation of this unit.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing
