Position Summary


The Business Manager is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Brill’s prospective clients.  This role will be working as a partner with Sales and Manufacturing teams to secure new business opportunities, primarily focus on dry mixes, fillings and specialty icing products.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Conduct business reviews on prospective accounts and develop strategies to further our partnership with potential customers.
  • Gain a full understanding of the manufacturing process and educate the customer on product use.
  • Broaden Brill portfolio by reviewing discontinued items from the Best Brands product listing.  
  • Review other discontinued product listings from the last four years to determine customer base and whether product should be reintroduced.
  • Responsible for understanding SKU Costing and profitability at the plant level.
  • Research customer business needs and develop a mix of products and service to meet needs.
  • Analyze market trends and act as an advisor to customers by recommending products based on business needs and goals.
  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses. Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
  • Participate in company functions, promotions, customer visits, and customer events. Attend and participate in general sales and district meetings.
  • Review and analyze daily and weekly reports such as special order requests, customer bid files, and sales/gross profit margin data.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, maintaining sales records, processing credits and pickup requests, preparing sales quotes and menu suggestions, and filing reports.




  • 5+ years of sales experience within the food and/or beverage industry
  • Ability to identify the best methods to successfully bring products to the market
  • Experience creating and presenting sales presentations to all levels of management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
