Sanitation Supervisor

Purpose:
The Sanitation Supervisor oversees sanitation function to ensure compliance with all Company, industry, quality management programs and food safety systems, such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), SPC (Statistical Process Control), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP''s) in support of the plant''s Quality Assurance & Food Safety department. Develop and maintain clear objectives for each position within the departments within your influence and control. Monitor KPI''s for each position while fostering a safe working environment. Provide training and coaching which will allow each associate to perform at their best and deliver results in a continuous process improvement environment. Ensure all associates understand the vision of our company.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Staffing and training associates for the sanitation team.
  • Promotes, complies, actively participates and enforces the importance of the CSM Safety Policy, to help maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Follows Safety procedures and actively participates in correcting Safety issues and completion of all required Associate Safety Training
  • Schedule adequate staffing to ensure sanitation operations are complete on a timely basis.
  • Work closely to ensure SOP requirements are maintained.
  • Maintains GMP provisions and monitors associate practices that relate to cleanliness, sanitation, and pest control.
  • Maintains a supply of cleaning chemicals necessary for operation of the cleaning program and in compliance with OSHA and FDA regulations.
  • Involvement in operations to maintain a "Superior" rating from annual AIB inspections.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, documentation, training and on-going improvement of the sanitation program in support of the plant's Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification.
  • Develops and implements new methods, procedures, and systems to improve sanitation performance.
  • Supervises operations to comply with all applicable safety laws and regulations, as well as Company safety policies, procedures and standards.
  • Ensures reporting or scheduled meetings as necessary.
  • Critique performance and provide training.
  • Ensure a safe operation in compliance with the company Occupational Injury Program.
  • Hold and/or assist in required safety meetings.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated according to established sanitary and housekeeping standards, to highest efficiency necessary.
  • Cooperate with engineering and production departments in the required maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Work closely with Quality Department to ensure product quality and food safety.
